Keratin hair treatment and chlorine from swimming pools

Is it a bad idea to get a keratin hair treatment done when planning to swim quite frequently in swimming pools (containing chlorinated water)? Will that strip the keratin off the hair quicker?

I'd wear a swim cap but water still gets in.

It might help protect your hair a bit from the chlorine though?

Chlorine absolutely wrecks my hair, but maybe regular conditioning treatments would help a bit. As well as using the proper shampoo, etc.

I think it does strip the treatment from your hair, yes. Same with salt water. Really annoying, as when I had mine done, I really wanted to be able to go in and out the water on holiday without worrying about looking like a big frizz ball.
