Yesterday we had a joinery out to finish off a couple of things. He gave us his bill which came in much much much cheaper than we'd originally thought.

Yesterday I went to my new gym for the first time and it was really lovely. I had the gym and the swimming pool all to myself.

Tomorrow I have plumbers coming out to do pipe work for our new cast iron radiators which are going to look fucking amazing.

Because I'm at work Saturday, we've decided to have a takeaway. My work day on Saturday is actually pretty enjoyable and I get a free lunch so it's not actually worthy of a sympathy takeaway but there you go.

My husband is coming home from hospital today. He was in the critical care on Thursday and now he will be here!

The air is clean and cool today. I’ve thrown all the windows open to take advantage

My cats are all cuddled against me in a warm, purring bunch

Inexplicably, a gorgeous white pumpkin (and a few sisters) have grown on the edge of my front garden!

I had the dentist today and after changing because the last dentist was rude the appointment went well, I have some problems but she told me not to panic, they will resolve and I wont lose teeth.

I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow, it'll finally be real.

Ds hasn't vomited in a week after falling in a lake nearly a month ago!

Ds studied really well today!

The nice bearded man came while I was at work, topped a very large tree, ground out some old stumps, cut a massive invasive hedge and took away all the detritus. Garden looks twice the size. After work, I made a jerk marinade for the first time and have some chicken bathing in it. Now... sunny dog walk. 🙂

I went to the doctors yesterday and finally got help for my anxiety and depression. Medication and counselling . I didn't have to pretend that everything was fine .

Me and DH have just checked into the hotel at the airport because we've got an early flight to Menorca in the morning. We found an amazing deal a month ago, it was cheaper to go for 10days than a week, so that's what we're doing.

we told our family we were expecting our first child and everyone is over the moon :)

I now have enough critical meds in stock to last until the end of November 😁
DS is coping well with a huge increase in college workload.
DPet's skin condition is improving - without mahoosive vet's fees.
I'm particularly delighted with the weather & intend to wash everything in the house!

@Nifeandfuck, thank you!! I am thrilled to bits. I have a dead thumb, so if trying to raise pumpkins I would smother them to death with water!

My house is spotless and the dc and DH are away tonight so I'm going to binge watch peep show and maybe have some wine 🍷

There was a man in the gym last night who was hot in the very specific way I find attractive: averagely attractive man over 40, twice my physical size, looks like they could be a police sergeant who is handy in a fight but kind to teenage ne'er-do-wells. Like I say, it's very specific.

@Croquembou That is very specific but he does sound delicious. Let's hope he's back next time you're in the gym

I had a CBT session today where the therapies said "let's talk about how you've used the techniques you've learnt in the past week when feeling anxious and stressed" and I got to say "there honestly hasn't been an opportunity, it has been a good week!".

But looking forward, I get to meet my best friends newborn daughter tomorrow. And my stepson is coming on thursday (he is with us half the time but I havent seen him since last Friday and I miss him so much!).

I went to see the midwife today and she gave me a extra scan just because first time of seeing both of them together on the screen, starting to sink in I’m having twins!

I found out that at the age of 50, I do in fact qualify for student loans and some scholarship funding to allow me to go to university. Full time, albeit with a PT job. 😊 Has been a dream of mine since screwing up my A levels many years ago.

Application will be going in for next year.

I got 3 baby sleeping bags for £5 today, bargain!

My DH is taking the kids on Friday so I can have an actual day off.

It's open house on the weekend where we get to go and visit some really cool buildings.

Plus Sunday is car free day in central London and it will be exciting for the kids.

Dd told me this morning my porridge was way better than dps. He makes it 90% of the time, I only occasionally, yet I’ve just breezed in and aced it.

For some reason this makes me unreasonably happy.

I saw an afghan hound chasing a doodle around a field: they were having so much fun.

I'm on my first day of maternity leave today, and we are spending the next 3 days moving from our cute little flat to a nice house with more room for DSS and DD when she arrives (and I get to point and supervise). The sun is shining and we are going shopping for house bits later 😊

Oh and starting college on Monday although that’s not this week

I competed in my sport (figure skating, through a charity called Inclusive Skating) on Sunday, and did well, with a new PB in one event, and a 1st overall. In the other event I got a 1st in my disability class and a 2nd overall across all disability classes, for my level and age group. They awarded medals and trophies for disability categories so I got 2 golds and 2 trophies

Yesterday I got to get dressed up and went to a good friend's 30th birthday party. Tomorrow a group of us are taking him for a fancy meal as a surprise present from the group :)

After the sil totally messed up getting their bathroom done in January, he has no more days off to take.
So on Friday I get to keep dd company on the maternity ward while she's been induced. Can't wait to see Bump.
