25th wedding anniversary, early Feb - where would you go on holiday?

We like the sunshine and the canaries are probably the nearest for guaranteed sun at that time of year (or almost guaranteed!), but I'm not really feeling excited about that - where would you go?

I'm not sure of exact budget at this stage but willing to spend a few quid as it's a special anniversary - just me and DH, no kids!

We went to South Africa for our 25th anniversary. It was amazing. However i don't think it will be hot there in February.

If you want nice warm sea as well as sun, the Caribbean, though unfortunately it's about the most expensive season.

We did Barbados for a Big birthday of mine in Feb.

Costa Rica sounds amazing or you could do anywhere Caribbean but peak season so not cheap. We did Disney Florida in Feb once and we're very lucky with the weather. Closer to home it's probably Canaries or the Middle East. Done Lanzarote in both Jan and Feb, can be fabulous but definitely not guaranteed.

Oh forgot we went to the Gambia many many years ago in Feb. Weather was perfect and it was a great holiday.

It's ours in Dec next year but there are so many things I fancy doing (African safari/New England in the Fall/New York/Caribbean) that it depends when we'll go!

On the actual day I want to be at home as we'll go to the hotel where we got married (done this every year on our anniversary 🙂 soppy buggers!).

We went to Marrakech for our 25th anniversary some years ago.
We stayed at the Hotel Riad Noir D’Ivoire. We had the zebra room - with its own private, candlelit terrace with jacuzzi.
If in your room and you wanted a drink / snacks etc, you just opened the window shutters and called down your order to the staff Grin
The riad was fabulous.

Caribbean cruise!
P&O do some great deals and you can have all the luxury of a beach holiday mixed in with some exploring!
