19 weeks pregnant baby still no movement - second baby

It's my second baby and 12 week scan report says placenta is posterior.

Can this be normal? 20 weeks scan is in a few days and I'm worried something awful has happened.

I'm 18 and a half weeks pregnant with my second baby and I've not felt proper movements yet. I didn't feel movements in my first pregnancy until 24 weeks. I know my baby is OK because I had a private scan last week and she was moving!

Perception of movement depends on more than just placenta position - it can depend on how busy you are, for example. Second trimester pregnancy loss is very rare. Given that your scan is so soon, I'd hang fire and wait for the scan if it were me.

@youwhoneverarrived yes, I think that's what I'm going to do. Thanks for reassuring. I just wanted to know this wasn't completely unique.
