Just that really, I did my degree in Ireland when it was “free” so I worked every summer and paid my own registration fees (1k per year) I also worked all the way through so earned my food, clothes, going out money. I was very lucky my parents paid my student accommodation. Then I did a PGCE which was paid so no need for a loan and I had worked for a year previous to pay my accommodation and living expenses for the 9 months. Anyone else never have a student loan? (This is not a boast by the way, just a question!)
