Like the time I was asked in an interview for a cool clothing shop what I liked (I assume they meant fashion wise) and I replied 'Shakespeare'. Blush. And no, i didn't get the job!

These little memories pop up sometimes and I just cringe to myself about what a prat I was and still am.

When I was a lot younger, I was staying at a relatives who I hadn't seen in years. She's very into left wing politics (I was oblivious to it in all forms) and she was telling a story about how she met Tony Benn.

I beamed and said, oh! Tony Bennett! I just love him, his voice is amazing.

Away for the weekend with D H. On the last day, after breakfast went back to our room for a quickie before checking out. Didn't put Do Not Disturb on the door. Room maid knocked the door and entered very quickly with me shouting Not Now come back later. She said sorry and left.

You couldn't see the bed from the door. Then I realised the bed was facing the big mirror and she could see us. And I was on top !!!
