Anyone keep me company while I pass some kidney stones?

Random I know, but a few months ago got diagnosed with kidney stones(passed some that night and there was some left), I got referred to lithotripsy for the others, a 4, a 6 and 8mm ones. So not huge. I did the lithotripsy about 6 weeks ago and a scan showed about 3 weeks ago they hadn’t broken down at all, so we said we would leave it as they wasn’t doing anything, wasn’t hurting at all. Until tonight. My pee is bright red, I’m shaking and cold but in hot sweats, I’m in pain and keep being sick. I know I have to ride it out but it’s going to be painful :(

Oh bless you. I haven't been through that but it sounds very painful and difficult. Do you have any pain relief you can take?

Do you need to get medical help? The blood in your urine does not sound good.

Good luck with it op Flowers Keep an eye on your temp and watch for signs of infection. I had a stone that blocked a kidney on the way out and I ended up with urosepsis because of it. Actually passing the stone barely hurt in comparison to the horrendous flank pain I had, and once I passed it and had the bright red pee then I felt immediate relief.

Have you someone there with you for support?

I ended up having to go to a and e as the pain got unbearable, which I’m glad I did because it’s looking like there’s one stuck in my ureter. It’s really painful but I’ve had a ct scan, bloods etc, i was transferred to the bigger hospital nearby and i’m on the surgical assessment unit! 😔 but scared because I haven’t ever had surgery!
