Gallbladder knackered

I've felt short of breath, dodgy stomach and like I've broken a rib quite a lot recently.

Just had a doctors appointment and apparently it's a dicky gallbladder. Awaiting a hospital letter for scan and blood tests. But doctor says the usual best course is to remove the gallbladder.

Anyone been there? Is it horrible?

And rhs scan took a good 20-25 minutes. They scanned the bits they were meant to scan (ovaries and kidneys) and then spent a while scanning my upper abdomen, getting me to push out my tummy as if I was trying to push the scanning wand away, rolling to this side and that side, and they took measurements during that bit (could tell from them clicking stuff on the console). I'm presuming that's the bit where they spotted the gallstones as the consultant had pictures of it.

Yep mine was around 20 mins and that was in an emergency situation.
They did tell me at the end but I live in Australia so procedures are different.
