Hmm anyone want it? It's been there since June. DH promised it would be sold and gone by the summer holidays. He thought it would be an easy sell Hmm. I almost don't see it any more, it's just part of the decor (and the kids have colonised it with cars).

Anyone else have shit in their home that doesn't belong there?

I have a still-boxed new washing machine in my dining room since end of June!! DSS meant to swop my small one for this new larger one.., I can see it being this years “Christmas theme”...

Pretty sure they’re highly flammable, OP....

When DS got his bunk bed (the IKEA metal one) - we had to put his old bed somewhere. It's in the sitting room now, DCs flop down on it to read. It'll probably stay there.
And then there is this office swivel chair, needs to be upholstered. It's been there for about 5 month ...
Thankfully the two giant boxes of playmobil (Aegyptians, Romans and various castles) are gone.

My DDad was a bit of a 'collector' before he died a few years ago. It was normal for us to have random objects around the house. Some of my favourites were an outboard motor (despite living miles away from water of any kind), a full size copy of the 'Madonna of the Rocks' painting complete with ornate gilded frame, a cart wheel, a road sign with 'down with fascism' graffiti'd on it and a life size bust of Isombard Kingdom Brunel on a plinth.

Without fail, my dad would find somebody who wanted to buy each and every one of the items within a few weeks of it appearing in the hallway. After he died, we found the keys to a mystery shed which was located a few streets away from our house and discovered the shit items we assume nobody had wanted.

Actually it is in the Christmas tree space. Some fairy lights and an angel perched on top?

Your 'D'H would be better off flogging it to someone who deals in spare car parts.

Or taking it to a scrap yard.

Kennels and rescue centres will often take old furniture becsuse dogs like to sit on it.
