What type of appointment would I ask for?

I'm hoping to have by hair restyled ( I've got a voucher that needs to be used soon) but I want to discuss possibilities before I have anything done. What I'm after is time for a stylist to assess my hair type and face shape etc and then help me decide about style, colour, possibly a perm of some sort, but I don't want this to be a rushed 5 mins before they do my hair, or between other appointments.
Do salons offer this and what would it be called? I expect to pay for the stylists time.
Anyone have any knowledge?

My hairdresser offers a 30min consultation that you can add to the beginning of your appointment. I did it the first time I went there. We discussed styles, colours, products. She made some suggestions and we decided on what was best for me. Can't remember how much I paid tho.
