Has anyone here gone through the menopause without losing all their energy & ability?

I get tired very easily these days. I was perfectly normal at 47. At 48 I got walloped by the menopause & put 2.5stone on having been a size 8/10 all my life. Now at 49, if I do a task like painting a wall or a spot of gardening, I get worn out so quickly. I often need to have a cat nap to rest. Also I ache in a way I've never felt before. If I get up having sat for a while, it takes a moment or two to stretch & be able to stand & walk properly. So I just wondered, has anyone else genuinely sailed through the menopause without effect? (I'm not referring to hot flushes here)

I'm 10 years older than you and still take HRT for horrendous hot flushes. I work full time in a demanding job and cannot say my energy levels are much less than they were 10 years ago. Perhaps there's something else going on that your dr could help with?

I went through the menopause at 51, having had several horrendous years of very heavy periods (caused by fibroids). Apart from twice weekly vagifem (to "fluff up" things!) I'm not on any medication (for the menopause or anything else) and now in my late fifties I feel pretty bloody good. It's such a HUGE relief to be free of periods. I think my memory is probably not a sharp as it was 10 years ago (I write things down more these days) but otherwise I feel great. I would definitely see the GP to make sure there isn't something else going on health wise.

I went through the menopause over 7 years ago and am 53 now. I only had a week of symptoms which were feeling hot in the night and then I took Menopace and was symptom free.

In my junior school in the 1970s we had a very glamorous teacher who believes that everyone should have a nap in the afternoon and if you were in her class you got to have a nap!

It stuck with me and I’ve always believed in having a ‘power’ nap, it really works to recharge yourself!

Try the Menopace, it’s brilliant and available in supermarkets as well as online.

I went through the Menopause feeling great.

Any recommendations for a particular Menopace. Just googled and there are several different ones. Which do you take, please? (To anyone and everyone who takes them.)

Thank you.

are you sure it's not the weight gain that's affecting you more than the change in estrogen levels?
i sailed through meno so i might not be helpful. i associate some of my aches and pains simply to aging not hormones.
men nap in the afternoon and get lazier as well...
