Sorry thought I was posting in Chat before I’m lambasted.

YABU to drive to Earls Court. You'd be much better off taking the train like everyone else.

OneHamm3r · 07/09/2019 17:24

I live 5 miles away and there are 4 of us, it’s way too expensive and we can’t afford it.

Park at Westfield and tube over?

MrsA2015 · 07/09/2019 17:27

Park in the big tescos carpark

OneHamm3r · 07/09/2019 17:28

Thanks for both of those suggestions.

pumkinspicetime · 07/09/2019 17:39

I think you only get a couple of hours parking at the tescos car park?

OneHamm3r · 07/09/2019 17:43

Ok what is Westfield?

OP posts:
OneHamm3r · 07/09/2019 17:44

Are there any car parks in the area?

Some venues have reserved parking, ask them. If you're only 5 miles away get the train with an oyster card, maximum spend limit. parking will probably be far more expensive.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 07/09/2019 18:46

You live 5 miles away and don’t know what Westfield is? Or is that a typo for 50/500 miles.

OneHamm3r · 07/09/2019 18:47

Sorry hours

longwayoff · 07/09/2019 22:35

O sorry, 5 hours is something else. I haven't taken a car into London in the last 25 years its so stressful and expensive, red routes, congestion charge, parking fines etc. I'd park in a suburban carpark near a station an get train or tube to EC. Use a pay and display carpark, dont use a supermarket, they restrict hours and you'll get ticketed.

Wheresmycider · 07/09/2019 22:58

Westfield white City. Large shopping centre with a good secure carpark and out of the congestion change zone. Good tube and bus links, getting to Earls court should be pretty easy, C1 bus or about 10 minutes tops in a black cab.

OneHamm3r · 08/09/2019 06:49

How much do you think it would be from Westfield? We’re going on a Saturday so would there be plenty of parking? Wouldn’t be charged congestion charge on a Sat. Many thanks for the advice.

The Westfield is really cheap- about £8. Sign up for the automatic billing online (just google it) and it's cheaper. No congestion charge in white city

EmpressLesbianInChair · 08/09/2019 07:22

If you get the C1 bus from Westfield to Earls Court it’s £1.50 each. They don’t take cash but you can use contactless cards.

There is an ibis hotel on lillie road (other side of earls court, 5-10 min walk) you can park there even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Smile
