Should my hair stay or should it go?

I need some hair advice please! So i have a weird body...as in i'm tall 5'10 and a size 14 but i have a small head with petite features. I also have tiny hands and small feet (size 5). Its like a pixie and a giant got mixed up in the womb. My hair suits my face when its short, the shorter the better but looks out of proportion with my body. Alternatively long hair swamps my face and makes me look tired and older but makes my body look less chunky. I currently have it in a bob but its so boring and makes me look frumpy. My dh loves my hair short as do my friends but i just dont know if it looks 'right.' Any advice would be great.

Oh I can relate but not quite the same! I'm quite short at 5.4 and have very narrow shoulders...flat chest, boyish hips but MASSIVE feet and head!

I have thick hair too....I'm like a bobble head...a gigantic skull on a child's body!

If I cut it short, I'm all teeth! Quite big teeth too...no overbite just a massive grin.

No advice really but I imagine the longer hair would look best but get it layered...do you have a fringe? Can you ask a good salon?

I would have your hair cut to the short cut that suits your face and flatters you. Then get some new clothes and jewellery and try different clothes shapes to find what makes you feel great. I think you end up feeling frumpy when you're styling yourself to disguise things rather than show off who you are and your best features.

I don't think a bob has to be boring. If it's a lob you could tousle it and make it look good. You could have a v.cut a the front. I don't think a fringe with a bod is a great look on most people.

Also well cut long hair doesn't have to drown you.

Also the colour can really change how hair looks.

I've recently changed hairdressers and the girl I go to now is amazing. Dh said completely unprompted that he thinks my hair looks the best it ever has. Not a stealth boast but just an example of how subtle changes can make a big difference.

If I was you I would ask for recommendations of local salons and go in and ask for some advice but be prepared to spend £££ for a new look.

I think because I also have very pale skin and dark brown hair, long hair can overwhelm my face. When i met my dh i was a size 10 and loved my short hair. I suppose i could stop being so lazy and do something about my weight and then i could have my hair short again. I would love to just feel comfortable in my own skin.
