Anyone know what the best Nintendo switch deal is?

Hi, I am.very un-techy, and am getting muddled looking at different consoles, deals etc....

After having to break it to dc2 that Santa isn't real (a rather innocent 11 yr old getting a bit of grief at school.about it so I made decision for the greater good!) DC had, before realising santa isn't real, mentioned a Nintendo switch for Christmas.

After realising it would be my / she's money, dc2 didn't mention it again, so it would be really nice to try and source a good deal for Christmas: older DC heard conversation and later when chatting mentioned they liked idea of switch and it seemed fair it would be a joint 'big' present.

Only spec is age appropriate games if a bundle, so no higher than 12 and definately not Fortnite!!!

Any help really appreciated

We got ours from Smyths toys as the 'free games ' were better.

Watching as my DS is also keen. Even second hand ones seem pricey though.

It really depends on what they are into. If they aren't into football, a cheaper bundle with a FIFA game won't be as good value as a more expensive one with a game that they do want.

Maybe wait until later in the year when Black Friday is around or when the new games such as the upcoming Pokémon Sword/Shield have been released.

We got ours from Smyths toys when they had a money off offer on tech if you spent over a certain amount. It was also a Christmas pressie. We left it till the last minute to see if there were any deals about!

Have you seen they've also just bought out a Switch Light?

Thanks everyone.

Not too fussed about football, prob prefer a mario or similar to go with it.

Switch light??? Arghhh! I think the one with red and blue handsets will do, but anyone got any idea if the new extended battery life versions are worth it?

If you buy from somewhere like GAME you can immediately trade in a game that has come with a console if you don’t want, I have done this before. Extended battery life is always worth it if the item will get a lot of use.

Here is a decent comparison of the switch and switch lite.

My DS would definitely prefer mario to football game too. Hopefully there will be a sale before his birthday in October!
