7/8 month old baby- how much do you play with them?

Just that really, in between preparing 3 meals a day and cleaning up and naps I'm not sure I'm actually playing with my baby enough (constant mum guilt)
How much do you play with your baby? How do you keep them occupied all day?

I was about to create this exact thread! My boy is 8.5 months and I just feel exhausted all the time.
I put his toy box in the middle of the floor and he plays mostly on his own by throwing things about and crawling around. He also has an activity table. I just don’t know how to play with him. Yesterday I played with him for two minutes by rolling a ball in and out of a box Confused . I read an sing to him most days. I love making him laugh and teasing him, but other than that I’m not sure how to play in a way that benefits his cognitive development. I’d say I only really “play” with him between 10-30 minutes at home each day. It’s a bit different if I take him out to a play group/play centre/Park/swimming- which I find much easier than playing at home.

I’m not sure how much I should be doing and I’m definitely feeling a lot of mum guilt. I’m also not sure how much I should be talking to him? I try my best but sometimes I just don’t know what to say. By the end of the day I feel like I’m going mad from lack of conversation!
