So where is my hotel room?

I was woken by the alarm this morning from one of those frustrating “seeking” dreams where I was scouring a hotel for my room which had unaccountably vanished. Now I’ll never know where it was! Anyone want to share their unresolved dreams?

I once dreamt I was getting married in coronation street. Everyone was telling me I was marrying Dev and I was trying to explain I was already married but no one would listen. I woke up before I got to the alter. God knows who I was marrying.

Dollywilde · 05/09/2019 08:17

Ooh me! I got arrested last night and I woke up before I found out what it is I was supposed to have done (or whether I did it!)

I was on a train in Italy with my 8 year old daughter. For some reason I got off at the station and the train (with my dd) suddenly departed. I was left standing on the platform filled with utter horror seeing her little face through the window screaming for me as the train pulled out of the station.

I woke up before I could rescue her!!! So dream DD and I have never been reunited

I dreamed I'd murdered someone and hidden their body in rolled up carpet in the spare room (which I don't have).

I woke up with a dreadful feeling of guilt, and, as far as I know, that dream body still hasn't been discovered.

Last night I dreamed I was on a train then I got off to get some food because I was hungry and the train left without me.. Thankfully no family were travelling with me, but I had to ask the dream guard to collect my dream cases and hold them for me at the dream station...

I had a dream that 'we' (although I couldn't tell you who the other dream people were) had a brilliant idea for a burglar deterrent. It was a life size, light-up plastic child which sits up in bed every 3 minutes, and then lays back down again. We had just produced our first prototype light-up child and placed it in a bed next to the front door of a house in an area known for lots of burglaries.

I woke before I ever found out if it was successful or not. Disappointing.

Howling with laughter at these! Glad it isn’t just me!

I have dreams where I’ve lost my dc, or they are in danger and I wake before I can rescue them. The fact that my real dc are sleeping peacefully in their beds does nothing to ease the guilt over my dream dc. Sometimes I try to go back to sleep to rescue them. Dh thinks I’m a nutter and he’s probably right

Amber2019 · 05/09/2019 13:46

I always dream I've murdered someone. I dont do the murdering in my dream but I always know I've done it and buried the body, I always wake just as the body is about to be discovered. Usually by builders digging up the land. Not really a dream, more a nightmare 😯 soni never know which I've murdered

Amber2019 · 05/09/2019 13:47

"So I never know who I've murdered" that should say 🙄

Deathraystare · 05/09/2019 15:40

"So I never know who I've murdered" that should say

A likely story! Fess up!

cantfindname · 05/09/2019 17:58

I often dream that I am in an old dilapidated house exploring. Everything is dusty with huge cobwebs but I can see one room that is different, clean and full of things. Every single bloody time I wake up before I can get to that room! I NEED to know what's in there Grin

VanGoghsDog · 05/09/2019 18:02

I dreamed I had forgotten my middle name, it was so real and I woke up very anxious. For a few minutes I actually couldn't remember it!

Then I remembered I don't have one!

In last night's dream, I parked my white Ford Ka in one of those amazing new parking spaces where your car dematerialises; when you return to pick it up, it rematerialises for you (it's some kind of space saving idea). When I came back, the machine didn't work, it said my car wasn't there. I called the parking company and snapped at them for being useless, then put the phone down. Later with a pang of conscience, I called them back to try and find out what had happened, where was my car; but they refused to talk to me because I'd been stroppy earlier, and then said laughingly that it was my word against theirs as to whether my car had ever been parked there so I'd never be able to claim.

I have no idea what that all meant, and where's my flamin' car?

More importantly, what were these wondrous carparks where space didn't matter; why can't I dematerialise anything else; and is this a lesson not to mouth off to customer services when things go wrong ...

Watermelondoesntbelonginasalad · 05/09/2019 18:18

I had general anaesthetic and woke up thinking my dream was real. I was sobbing and telling all the nurses that my husband had died. My husband Cedric diggory, killed by voldemort. I still cringe now.

iklboo · 05/09/2019 18:19

I dreamt I'd given up my job to work for a luxury used car salesman. He only had two cars, Alan Davies (the comedian) was suing him for stealing customers and he was a sex pest who wanted me to pretend to be a prostitute to lure customers in.

Progress2019 · 05/09/2019 18:34

The night before last I dreamed that I bought a raffle ticket (it was £5), to win Wes Brown (ex ManUnited player who I love) for 24 hours. There was a list of things you could do with him including going to New York, Alton Towers, even him sitting for a life drawing class. I wanted to watch him train. Because even dream me is very boring obviously.

Anyway, I was going to win wasn’t I? I know I was but unfortunately my husband woke me up as we had to catch a ferry.

I never remember my dreams, but this was so vivid.

BigStripeyBastard · 05/09/2019 18:37

I had one of those dreams the other night where I was desperately trying to have a wee but everytime I found a loo and sat down, someone would walk in, or I'd realise I was right next to a window with people walking past and I JUST COULDN'T GO! Eventually I woke up and wandered into the bathroom for an actual wee and the bloody cat saunters in and sits looking at me. All I wanted was a private wee! 😣

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 05/09/2019 18:41

Yes I have the murder dream too. Where I have disposed of or hidden a body I have no recollection of killing and about to get discovered. Heart thinking stuff because in the dream I know I’ve not done it

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 05/09/2019 18:43

And the loo dream where it’s dirty/ doors fall away or windows appear
Or a shower in a room with carpet and nowhere for water to drain. Im messed up I think! Would love them analysing

Anothernotherone · 05/09/2019 18:53

I had some awful ones about loosing small toddler DD when I was pregnant with dc2 - usually she'd slip out of sight down a slope or hole and I wouldn't be able to grab her because I had a newborn in my hands - just in my hands, no sling, and no hands free and nowhere to put him down. I'd always wake in a cold sweat just as she slipped out of sight... Dc2 lived in a wrap sling for his first 6 months BlushGrin

As a sixth former I dreamt that I'd returned to my old school and was looking for the exam room to take my GCSEs and couldn't find it, and all the rooms kept swapping places, and some had defending spiral floors or hall of mirrors type set ups and other fairground haunted house set ups. Never found the exam room, woke up sliding down a steeply sloping flour in the geography room, watched blank faced by a random former classmate who was neither a friend nor not a friend just a classmate whom my brain had picked out for no apparent reason...

Anothernotherone · 05/09/2019 19:01

TrophyCat yours has actually happened to me, not as a dream, in reality (a son not a daughter, Germany not Italy, he got on the train and the doors closed before we caught up ShockBlushShock

Wasn't asleep, did rescue him, luckily we have always said get off at the next station and stay put if were ever separated on public transport, and he did. Nerve wracking half hour til I got to him to say the least!

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 05/09/2019 19:14

Just after the last general election I had a very vivid dream where I was in a meeting to decide if we would back the calls for removing voting rights from cats. There was all sorts of data and charts about their voting patterns being handed out.

I never found out who 'we' were or who gave cats the votes in the first place or how the hell we get them to vote in their local polling station.

I woke up and asked a very confused dh if cats voted using an ink blotter and paw print.

Dollywilde · 06/09/2019 12:37

@OhLookHeKickedTheBall to be honest, as a cat owner, the idea of them getting the vote brings me out in a cold sweat. We think things are bad now, imagine how much worse it would be once the feline overlords got involved...
