What do you buy rich people as a wedding gift?

Friend is getting married. Has an established home (or 5!) and enough cash to buy anything they desire. They have no children but adore their dogs. I don't have quite so much money and am clueless of what to buy other than something like this along with something else (but don't know what!), www.etsy.com/uk/listing/644106115/dog-lover-pebble-art-gift-perfect?ref=reviews

Wierd isn't it how we stress ourselves about buying expensive things for rich friends? I wouldn't buy myself a Diptyque candle... so why would I buy that for a friend who could afford it more easily? Really you should get them a bottle of sainsbury's wine or a yankee candle and save the extravagant presents for people who don't usually have things like that... I suggest ask them if there is a gift list and hopefully they will have the manners to say no presents!

A star!

A donation to a dog charity - battersea, DAWGS, or one of the international Europe to uk rescue charities. Get the charity to outline what they would do with the cash and pop that on a presentation letter.

Don’t buy tat. No one wants it regardless of how much money they have. I would buy something consumable like a nice ca doe or a bottle of wine from the year they met/place they met (if it was in/near a wine region, obviously you could also do it with whisky, gin etc) is quite an elegant option.

They are rich and they have each other

Consumables 100% - no things for home or keepsakes I don't think !

Wine or champagne - nice but not special...I think if they are as rich as you think they should be asking for nothing!
