Ovarian cysts are usually benign and have similar symptoms to yours.

There could be many things other than cancer.

LemonAddict · 03/09/2019 17:26

There are lots of things it could be, yes including cancer, but like you my mind automatically would go to the worst case scenario.

Hope you get some answers there and then at your scan next week. Is someone going with you?

QuestionableMouse · 03/09/2019 17:27

It could be so mnay things or even a combination of things. Try not to panic and stay away from Google.

Those symptoms for me would mean I was due on... I have pcos and it can cause those symptoms.

Sounds like you have taken a visit to Dr Google? It’s your body lovely, and those symptoms sound awful. Even if it is cancer, (and of course I hope it’s not) there are so many treatment options that you can look at. Have the doctors given you any ideas of what they think? I don’t have an answer for you. But have a hand hold till next week?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 03/09/2019 17:31

Indeed it could be many things. To be honest - all the people I have known who have had cancer have had either no symptoms or ones that were very minor and easily ignored. Step away from Dr Google.

If your doctor was concerned you would be at the hospital now not next week.

MerryXmasNoelle · 03/09/2019 18:10

Ive had to book the scan privately due to the pain

Hang in there, yes you will be worried ay of us would but you really need to find a way to cope with it, stress will make the pain much worse. Please remember we are hear if you need a handhold Flowers

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 03/09/2019 18:40

Poor you. If the doctors were worried they would send you straight there - I’ve been directed to the hospital straight out of the surgery three times for (turned out to be) absolutely nothing.

Walnutwhipster · 03/09/2019 18:48

Please try not to worry. Your symptoms aren't my experience of ovarian cancer. My mum was diagnosed (stage 4 untreatable) in March and had absolutely no symptoms apart from bloating. The oncology nurse described it as the silent killer and said it rarely caused pain.
