Have 12 months left on mobile contract with Tesco but iPhone battery sn’t lasting

Still have a year left on my contract with Tesco mobile but my iPhone battery isn’t keeping charged. Even when it has full charge, it will suddenly drop to 15% without warning so makes the phone extremely unreliable. Do you think I could ask for a new phone sooner than my contract/upgrade become available? Otherwise I’m paying a monthly contract for a phone that is hard to rely on.

You can get the battery replaced. Dd did, it was better for a month and now just about as bad.

Is the phone less than 2 years old? If so it's covered by warranty. I had mine changed in the Apple store and 3 refunded me the £50

Have you checked what is draining your battery and the battery health?
This link tells you what to look at, it might be a setting that needs to change.
