Air fryer’s - any recommendations ?

I have been thinking of buying one. It would be for 2-3 people so a small one only.
Was thinking of making chips mainly, not sure what else they can be used for (vegetarian family).
I don’t want to spend loads either!
TIA

We have a Tefal Actifry. You can use it for all sorts from chips and nuggets to pasta sauces, roasting veg and DH makes cheese on toast in it.

Thanks for the reply, the actifry is too expensive.

I had an airfryer (not an Actifry). I found it either incinerated stuff or made stuff crispy then bashed the crispy bits off leaving an under-cooked core. It was also very, very noisy.

Honestly, don't waste your money. Get one of these...

... grease it sparingly and use the oven.

According to my mum the Actifry is rubbish, you need one without a paddle.I have a Phillips XL, but they are expensive. I can't recommend a brand as I'm not in the UK, but my mum tried mine out and bought a cheap supermarket one. She hated her Actifry, said the paddle broke up the food or something.

Totally agree with alwayscrashinginthesamecar1.

What you want is to be up chip creek without a paddle.
