Has anyone found a nice thick waterproof boys coat (age 9) for a decent price?

Have you tried one of the camping/walking shops. If you can grab a sale jacket there you might do well.

We got really nice ones in decathlon recently.

I went for this one from mountain warehouse which is half price.

Another vote for any of the walking/ outdoors shops. Better quality and value than the high street and supermarkets.

I do wish that "boys" coats for children above the toddler years didn't come in such perfect colours to become roadkill on a dull November evening. "Girls" ranges tend to be much more visible colours.
