Rubbish Bank Holiday weekend

I've been sick with a virus all weekend, we haven't left the house as I can barely move. I've had to have to telly on the entire time which I feel incredibly guilty about.

DD4 and DS2 are completely unsympathetic to their sick mummy, although they didn't mind the telly. It looks like I'll still be sick tomorrow.

On Facebook all I can see is all the fun and exciting stuff people have done with there Bank holiday. And I've done nothing, anyone else care to share their rubbish weekend?

Yes I've been ill and depressed all weekend too. I worked Saturday but had Sunday and today off. My first few days off in a while.
I had plans I had to cancel due to my anxiety ramping up but I've since bern very unwell.
Like you I feel crap. Sick of seeing everyone else's jolly old time!

That's the problem with social media. I feel like that about the whole summer tbh - smiling pics from all over the world whilst I'm stuck at home.
Just remember pictures don't tell the whole story.

GreenishPurple · 26/08/2019 20:29

That's what I'm hoping @NCTDN

Have often felt I need to get rid of Facebook but can't quite bring myself to do it.

Sorry you've been sick @GrimGirl !

They are only showing tiny moments. They are not showing the sweating as it is stupidly hot. Boob sweat ( yup. Big struggle over here but not likely to put it on Facebook Grin)

They are not showing the kids moaning as it is too hot to really do anything. Hands that are covered in sand that never washed off. A car full of rubbish and sand everywhere. ( why is there always and everywhere )

Not showing the hour it takes to get the kids out of the house with the entire contents of the house as well. And the kids moaning that they are bored. Also tired and hot kids at the end of s day where it has mostly been too hot and sticky.

Man I don’t miss those days Grin I only managed to get my teenage son out of bed at 2pm.

Trod on a bee when putting out laundry on Saturday. It stung me (poor bee but poor me too). Amazing what baking soda can do I thought. Went for a walk yesterday. Foot swollen. Spent today counting down to the next antihistamine tablet and feeling sorry for DH who has had two live-wires without more than moral support (he’s more than capable but it’s not as easy).

I have been indoors decluttering all weekend Sad But now have a tidier house! I decided to avoid social media.

I've stayed in on purpose... It's not my weekend with my DD, so I've hidden away from the sun and heat and sat with cold drinks, fan, TV and even a glass of wine.

Not the same as being ill I know, but not everyone.likes being out in the heat and such. :)
