Ideas needed please - DN is six in a few weeks and is very into arts and crafts. Previously we've bought her blo pens and also stuff like those little beads that you iron together to make pictures so trying not to repeat... budget of around £25-£35?

Have a look at klutz books (I buy from amazon). They’re great-have illustrated instructions and everything needed to do whichever craft it is. I’ve bought my 5 year old niece several over the years and they keep her occupied for ages.

Get on Pinterest. Print off ideas in her interests. I am buying a glue gun today! Under supervision my dc will be using it.
Make a file of the ideas and maybe a voucher for a craft shop?

My niece recently turned 6 and asked for a cross stitch kit, which I got from The Range. Loads of crafty stuff in there at v reasonable prices.

I did a slime hamper for my son at that age, loved it.
I put in all the ingredients, along with a list of simple instructions.
Also put in tubs to keep the slime in and various bits of glitter and bits and bobs to put in the slime.

Try The Works. Great stuff in there. Lovely plain boxes etc to decorate. You will certainly see something in there.

My 6yo enjoys making slime, card making (particularly using stamps), jewellery making and sand art.

She is also very keen on the Melissa and Doug magic set.

Fimo or Polymer clay? My son loves it and makes all sorts. Amazon have some good sets for around £20. She could use it to make some jewellery bits too
