I'm driving from the east to Wales (brecon), and on the way I was thinking to stop in the Cotswolds somewhere, and Hereford, as that's approximately the route I think I'll be taking, possibly a first stop at Milton Keynes to pop into Ikea, though that might take too long as once you get sucked in there you never come out...!
I'll come back a similar route, and would like to stop in different towns - anywhere interesting, pretty, etc. I have all day to do it so can be leisurely (to an extent). Any suggestions? I"m a newish driver so I like to plan a fair bit before I go and make sure I know how to get there and where to park etc, rather than just being spontaneous and stopping when I feel like it.
