hair thickening powder are you coughing???

DS started using a hair product Osis. He also started coughing at night, for some reason he googled the ingredients and found it was silica.

Having done some more research the results on the lungs of silica are frightening. Has anyone else found this resulted in a cough.

He’s using too much if it’s making him cough. It’s not like talc, it doesn’t puff up and get everywhere.

He puts it on in the morning, I would not say too much, the cough is when he lies down. We had no idea it was silica.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water/Eau), Silica Silylate, Sodium Benzoate, Octyl Acrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Citric Acid.

I had absolutely no idea about this. Been seeing a consultant for nearly 2 years regarding my cough, and this has never been mentioned

You can get acute silicosis after a short time reading up on it. Frightening.

I thought it was an allergy, damp dusted his room, changed bedding, still he coughed at night. He took piriton, no help.

Has it got into his pillow or quilt, do you think?
