Does anyone here live in the Tower of London?!

I’m a proper history geek - did it at University and I’m obsessed with the Royals and London and especially the Tower of London. The new series of Inside the Tower of London is on and I just love that the Yeoman Warders live there!!! Just wondering if anyone here has lived there/knows someone who does?!

I'm a life long (but admittedly crap!) Londoner and this is fascinating.

The ceremony of the keys [performed nightly] has apparently never been cancelled and only ever delayed once.

I knew the son of the lord that lived there for a while, we got a full behind the scenes tour, my friend actually slept in Anne Boleyns bedroom where she'd been kept prisoner....it was super interesting but also seriously creepy and when I got home I felt really odd and couldn't sleep all night. Like a previous poster said the air was almost thick with the history. My friend also said it was very annoying not being able to get in after certain hours and told lots of funny stories about turning up pissed and negotiating with the Yeomen Warders...they've got a bar on site where they all hang out apparently.
I wouldn't want to live there...I don't believe in ghosts but that place had some seriously strange vibes.

DH has done quite a lot of work in the jewel house at the Tower of London. He had to do it after hours so he was pretty much the only person there, said it was very bizarre and cool as you only ever see it all packed with people. He needed a security clearance before he could start working there.

@bowtieandheels I had to 're read that twice as I thought you meant your friend had been held prisoner

My friend - her DH is a Yeoman Warder We've stayed with them overnight. It's very odd to go round the Tower when its empty.

They take it in turns to run the pub.
