My son is shortly turning 8. We've struggled this holiday with boredom at home. He's only really interested in his Lego sets, boardgames and hotwheels while previously loved things like puzzles, playdoh and train track are largely ignored.
We do go out and about a lot, see his friends and have a daily dog walk, so he isn't stuck inside all the time.
He loves his Nintendo switch, although we try to limit his screen time to two hours per day (he'd be on it all day if he could) and if he's in the mood, he does still sometimes do imagination play with his little sister.
Any suggestions for toys or activities that your slightly older kids have loved?
He loves building things, logical challenges, mechanics etc. as well as things like crafts, sewing, making things, nature, learning about the world......open to anything really! Thank you
