Glasgow Airport taxi to Paisley

Hello
Anyone from Glasgow who can help?
I want to get a taxi from Glasgow international to Gilmore Rd Staion in Paisley. Need to get to Ayr! When I look it says that it's around 2 miles but when I went to look at taxi prices it says £25. Is that because it's pre booked? Any idea how much a taxi would be from the rank on the day?
Or easier to get bus into Glasgow and get train from there? Any advice anyone? TIA

Can you get the bus? McGills 757 goes from the airport to Paisley Gilmour St.

How many passengers and how much luggage?

Likethebattle · 20/08/2019 20:07

The buses outside pass gilmpur street or Glasgow Central both of which run trains to Ayr. Give me a wave as I live near one of the stations you’ll go through. Also don’t get an airport taxi it costs way more.

It shouldn't be anywhere near £25. I'd pay that and I'm much further away than Paisley.

Try this site, if you haven't already. It should be approximately £10 according to this, though I don't know how many passengers or how much luggage you have.

Use an uber on the day, much cheaper. Costs me about 15 quid to get a little further into the city than that

I second the suggestion of Paisley Taxis, around the £10 mark is about right. The airport taxis may also be abiut this price if you pick one up at the airport- I'm sure they are usually cheaper than £25 For such a short trip.

Thanks everyone! Super helpful! I don't know why I didn't think of a bus! That's probably the best thing to do!
It's just me and hand luggage. Need to get to a care home in Ayr.
