Do you mean the German heavy metal band?

Either way, no. I’m curious though!

DangerousMouse · 20/08/2019 18:21

Cheeky bump... no, no heavy metal bands, an actual scorpion. Just after recommendations for decent web sites on caring for them and what viv is best for them etc.. I know I can google but there is so much bad advice out there on animal keeping

I kept emperors a few years ago, but didn't have much luck and two sickened and died. I gave the last one away to someone more experienced. I don't know what I was doing wrong as they were properly housed and heated etc. They were lovely as well, very friendly and easygoing.

Oh that's not reassuring! Emperors are supposed to be the easiest to keep.. more research required I think!

I thought you meant the band as well ....

We had an emperor for a couple of years but he got a leg caught during a moult and had to have it amputated then he died a few months later I just don't think he recovered. He was a really good pet until then though, low maintenance and a bit of a talking point!

@Onlyahalfbottle

How very sad Sad

Namaste6 · 20/08/2019 22:22

Why would you keep a scorpion as a 'pet'? Just curious.

pottedshrimps · 20/08/2019 23:22

Tarantulas are easier. Emperors are strangely endearing though. I loved mine.
