Croup

I have posted in ‘Parenting’ but it seems a little quiet on the board so am re-posting here.

Hi, I’m pretty sure my 4 year old has croup. She sounds pretty terrible, lost her voice yesterday, hurts to swallow, temperature, cough which’s sounds like a barking dog (although the cough is not constant). Do I need to get her seen by a GP or is it a just sit it out and wait thing? Also any film recommendations would be gratefully received. Thank you.

hey guys so my daughter 3.2months has croup jus been told this by doctor who literally diagnosed this over the phone when she heard her coughing left a prescription of one of steriods to help and told me to give her it straight away which I have done although she seems to be the exact same as before she had the steriods does anyone have any advice do they take long to kick in? been well over 4 hours from she had it or any advice as what I could do at night to help her the cough is terrible at night?
