We were toying with CP. Now I’ve seen this place in Cornwall, eco lodges by the sea with some activities on site but not anywhere as vast as CP.

Wondered if anyone has been and whether it’s a cut above? I know everyone loves CP but I’m worried we’d find it all a bit overwhelming, although we are tempted.

I've been. I stayed in a lodge and I loved it. Do book the activities ASAP because they do book up. The soft play is very good. There is no shop on site

Gwel an mor means the field by the sea. It's part of the old RAF Portreath site, now as holiday chalets. It's just down the road from my parents', we stayed there with MIL for her 60th.
The lodges are very nice, lounge /kitchen are open plan & upstairs to maximise the views out to sea.
When we stayed there were welcome packs in the fridge, butter, milk, bacon, sausages, bread, eggs etc. The meats are from Etheringtons butchers at Wheal Rose near Scorrier, delicious & you can buy from the farm shop. Enjoy!
