15 month old worrying me to death

20h

I’ve been so depressed over the last 3 months as my now 15 month old has not progressed since he was 6 months old. He crawled, stood and cruised at 6 months and has not progressed from that. I have tried to encourage him to walk but he cries and throws himself on the floor. He has been going to nursery since he was 11 months and really hates food. Meal times are the worst. He screams and tries to get out of the chair as if the food is about to harm him. He was exclusively breastfed as I couldnt get him to take a bottle. He would scream at the sight of one. I finally had to take him off the breast at 9 months because I looked anorexic and was having fainting spells as I could not keep up with his demand for milk. He only recently started to babble. He does not point, clap hands, gesture or mimic. He loves cars and spinning wheels. He throws normal tantrums and sleeps very well, normal eye contact. GP and HV not concerned. But I took him to an infant Psychotherapist and she basically said that in order for him to start talking and walking, he needs to learn to mimic. But he wont mimic, no matter how much I try, he is very stubborn. Im so stressed out and tired. Has any one had a similar experience? Oh, the Psychotherapist also said that he shows early signs of ASD.

If your GP and HV aren't concerned then I wouldn't be. I'm not sure that the advice about mimicking is correct. Psychotherapists are not qualified to diagnose ASD and should never have said that.
