Unofficial Lego models - where to find pieces?

I've the instructions for a Lego model DS would love, but it's not an official set. Is there a reliable website which would tell me which sets I need to buy to get all the pieces? Or that I can find the individual pieces?

The Lego website sells individual bricks and you can buy them pick and mix style in their shops although it's a limited selection.

I once got about 6 kg of assorted lego bricks in a second hand toy shop - so it might be usefull to look there.

Brickset.com is a fab website and will probably tell you what you want to know.

I have also used eBay if I needed odd pieces.

brickowl.com & bricklink.com you can browse, search by parts or search by sets.
Just watch out for delivery charges & minimum order values.
