Date night with myself...what to do!

Two kids in bed already. Dh is OUT. He never goes out. I'm quite excited.

I have a thai ordered to arrive at 8pm. But for now...what do I do?!

This is such a rare occurrence. I'm excited but not sure what now. FWIW, we have a one year old and a two year old so for ages we've had interrupted evenings and social lives

You are so lucky! Have a nice bath, paint your nails. Have a cuppa, have a gin, sit in silence till your food arrives, go for a poop in peace, watch crap tv you never get to see.....not all at once. Enjoy your evening. I'm waiting till my 2 year old goes down but let her have a danger nap so I'm f*cked haha

Ah no @Cherry111 I can hear my two year old singing upstairs but likely won't have to go to him (unless he wees in his nappy).

I painted my nails yesterday and have opened the wine already. Dishwasher needs emptying and I'm really tempted to sort that first Blush

PJs, booze, TV. Maybe a blanket depending how cold it is where you are, nice candles if you have some... And breathe!!

Do not start doing jobs under any circumstances. Have a lovely evening!

(What have you ordered?!)

I love turning off the tv and reading my book; I know that sounds boring but with a two year old and work and a noisy DH I literally have no quiet time in my day.

Pyjamas, wine with movie or music.

Sounds bliss op 🙂

Thai green curry, pad thai noodles, jasmine rice and satay skewers. I'll probably only eat about 1/3 of it but it'll be good for tomorrow.

I've just put on a crappy movie. Only 90 minutes so I'll have time after. I'm in my pjs Grin

Normally it's me.out and dh in as he can never be bothered is rubbish with keeping up with friends This is a welcome change.

leave the dishwasher for DH. He is at least getting out of the house for his night out. But seriously, have the most fabulous evening. I am a single parent and my DC goes to their dad alternate weekends. Nothing lovelier on a Sat evening than a good takeaway of my choice and binge watching on TV.

Dh has been a gem. I've had a UTI that has gone to my kidneys so am on antibiotics. He's had the kids for two days without quibble and I've done bugger all please no one tell me about the wine and thai hammering my body. I already know!
