Nice meal to cheer up dh tonight.

Dh has had a bit of a crap week so If like to cook something nice when he comes home from work tonight.
I am all out of inspiration though and don't live anywhere with posh supermarkets or delis.
Any ideas?

Yeah- if he is a meat eater steak. Or Beef wellington which is easier than it sounds.

If veggie then aubergine and mushroom jalfrezi with rice and naaan. (That';s what we are having).

What is his favourite style of food?

Agree with PP that it really depends what he's into. I'd probably do linguine with prawns, garlic, chilli and lemon and a bucket of white wine. Saying that, I think this is a real "thought that counts" situation. I'm sure your DH will appreciate whatever you make!

Steak and sautéed baby potatoes with rocket, and a nice bottle of red.

King Prawn and courgette linguine, with a garlic, chill, basil and tomato sauce, plus a nice bottle of red.

Mussels in white wine sauce (the pre made packets are fine IMO) with crusty bread to mop up, nice crispy white wine on the side.

Salmon en croute is my DHs favourite and easy to make.

Have you got anything in already that you could make something with?

My DH loved the minute steak, wedges & pea puree I cooked for him the other day.

My partner has had the worlds longest day work today when it was supposed to only be a few hours so I have been out and grabbed a nice chunk of steak 🥩 it's the easiest way to a mans heart 😂😉😉
