Any recommendations for a feel good film? Had a crap day and feeling bad at how much the children are winding me up. Need to try and watch something to improve my mood. We have netflix or prime but I am out of ideas.

Thanks Wine Flowers

Dumpling on Netflix is lovely.
My go to film is either One fine Day or Practical Magic.
Life in Pieces on Amazon Prime is a great TV show, I discovered it a few months ago & binged most of season one in an evening!! Parks and recreation also cheers me up when I’m a bit low. Season one isn’t great, but the rest is brilliant!

Thank you inmyownlittlecorner. Not seen any other than parks but gave up on series one. Sounds like I need to go back to it!

Feel like a crap ungrateful mum this week so v helpful.

I love la la land and about time . Wine country was good too. If you're up for the cinema I really liked yesterday very easy to watch and great soundtrack.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople - 1.99 to rent - is my favourite movie of the year. It was recommended on here Star

When I feel like that I watch pretty woman, if I want to feel justified Shirley Valentine and when O feel like I just want to tell everyone to eff off and do my own thing... Eat, Pray, Love.

I might however be centuries older than you.

About Time
Erin Brockovich
And of course Bridget Jones 😁🙈

Ok, you're not going to be convinced when you read the description but - Lars and the real girl. Honestly, I watched it on Prime last night. It's really so warm and sweet and unexpected. Don't let the description put you off, it's a heart warmer.

I second (and third) "About Time". Love the film and it always puts me in a good mood.

Safety Not Guaranteed on Netflix is a wee bit different and pretty good!

The Princess Bride! So cheesy but always cheers me up.

Yes! I was very dubious when I read the "blurb", but it is one of the best "feel-good" films ever!

purplepandas · 17/08/2019 09:42

About time was lovely, thank you. Will look at test and intrigued about Lars and the real girl!
