I have a rare opportunity to spend a weekend with my daughter, just the two of us Grin
I feel like staying in a treehouse type accommodation, looking for ideas to make it extra special.
Thanks

Read aloud. Eat her favourite food, preferably cooked over a campfire.
Star gaze.
Wildlife spotting.
Glow sticks.
Plodge/paddle if you are near the water.
Board games.

Let her take the lead as much as possible.
Let her make lots of choices, what to eat, when to eat, maybe some nail varnish for toes that she can choose, what to do etc.

What a lovely idea. My ds would love this. Where did you find tree house?

ALL screens left at home.

Lots of games. Things like consequences, i-spy, charades, etc (so you don't need to pack loads, although dobble's always good). A treasure hunt.

The parent lesson it took me the longest to learn was that the best thing I could give my child was me. Being 100% there, in the room with her. Being interested and engaged. Really listening.
