There's no photos of me with my baby

I looked through some old photos and there are no photos of me and my baby during her 2 and 3 month there's loads with other people but not me. And I only have a few with her and me throughout her first year. But loads of her on her own or with other people.

I think that's fairly standard. 17 years on, I also can't remember looking at any baby photos after the first 12 months. The only baby photos we have on display show DD with her great nan (no longer with us) and grandparents (now seriously ill). Those are the pictures I treasure.

I’m the same!
One of me with them at birth and that’s about it apart from the very odd one I’m in the background of at birthday parties etc.
Dp doesn’t take photos, I don’t like being in photos but I’m starting to ask people to take more pictures of me and the dc together because I think I want them to be able to have some physical memories of me when I die! I’m only 34 so not planning on going anywhere just yet but you never know what’s around the corner!

My son is 14, I had to leave his dad just before his 3rd birthday... I had to leave all his baby photos, I have nothing

I find that there is mainly one person in each family taking the photos-as they enjoy it. In my EX`s family it was his dad, in my family it is me.
After ex-fil died, we realised how few photos we had of him & I made a huge effort to put myself into more family photos
My 2 daughters were 2 & 3 at the time of his death, so am in a similar position as you up until that point
So many photos of kids & extended family, but not many photos of the main family member who enjoys taking the photos
