Hi, my neighbour has cancer and now recently had a stroke. She is back out of hospital and I need to see her, the only problem is her big fox red labrador retriever. Im normally fine with dogs, but hers is always barking loudly and she says herself doesnt like people or young children. My friend has 2 of the same breed and they are so well behaved and gentle. But she said she trained them extensively to be so obedient and not to bark etc.

I feel really bad for my neighbour, she has no other relatives at all.
I have access to her key, any tips for walking through her front door. I dont know what to expect! Im scared her dog will jump on me. It might think Im an intruder!

Shd is bed ridden and relies on neighbours to help with dog feexing walking and meals. Carers come and do washing etc.

Sorry for the long post!

Could you make sure you go over when the dog is being walked?

Could you go over when a dog walking/feeding neighbour is there so you can get to know the dog better and feel more at ease with it? Maybe feed it and take some treats so it recognises you in a positive way and won’t see you as an intruder?
