what can I do with 11 litres of longlife?

I have left a crate of long life milk in the back of the shed and it is now past its best before. I don’t want to waste it but the kids and DH won’t drink it unless desperate... I am lactose intolerant and can’t drink it.

Any suggestions?

I am looking at bathing in it? Or making cheese?

Am I right in thinking the food bank won’t be interested as it is (just a month) past its best before date?

Ta!

You could make some soap with it

Best before date is ok. Use by date destroy.

Rice pudding!

Make your own yoghurt. No need to boil UHT milk and it would suitably reduce the lactose levels.

The food bank won't be able to give it out because it's out of date. Thank you for thinking of it though.

Mum2jenny · 14/08/2019 21:46

Bathe in it like Cleopatra

friedeggsandcustard · 14/08/2019 22:42

glug, glug, glug... as I wallow in the lukewarm proteins of your suggestions... hmm, yoghurt is the way forward, especially given the ammount they go through. ‘Tis a shame though, I was quite looking forward to my Cleopatra moment... (romance of it killed slightly by heating it all up in pans and hauling it upstairs...did she heat it up?)

Sometimes food banks or churches are able to give away products after their best before date if its not done 'officially'

I use milk powder if I want a milk bath Grin

Custard?
