I've only ever had night sweats in the days immediately after giving birth, all three times. They were horrible, bed soaking things. I'm postmenopausal now & have thankfully never had a menopause related night sweat. I'm generally much warmer day & night & I sleep under just a sheet all year round these days, but no sweats thank God.

42/43. In the nights running up to the start of my period. I wake up soaked, and the sweat stinks too. I experienced the same after having a baby as the hormone levels changed.

I’m 44 and I’ve been having them for about the last 6 months. Not every night but enough that it’s horribly unpleasant. I wake up drenched with sweat as of I've got a fever.

I'm 41 and have had them for about 2 years. Mine are hormonal as they're usually around my period. I started taking a capsule of fairly high strength Evening Primrose Oil daily and they stopped. Not had one for four months and they were pretty regular. I'm not saying it's a miracle cure by any stretch of the imagination but it's worked for me as I would wake up soaked and need to shower/change and they've just stopped completely.

I'm 34. Been having them about 6 months. Had the day sweats someone else mentioned for a number of years tho.

I thought I was peri menopausal because I was having terrible night sweats, turns out it was a side effect of anti depressants I was on which stopped pretty much within two weeks of coming off the medication. Turns out hot flushes and night sweats are relatively common side effects of some of the more popular anti depressants. Who knew Confused
