Anyone else always hungry (but not really putting on weight)?

Like can keep eating and eating (get about an hour after meals where I feel satisfied/non-hungry and then I get slightly peck-ish soon after that and completely starving and almost shaky 4-5 hours after, regardless of what I eat.

Only two medical things that I can think of is I have IBS-D (fairly mild, get slightly watery but solid-ish stools so maybe less nutrient absorption) and low blood pressure (heard it can trigger the appetite control centre in the brain as the body wrongly thinks it needs more energy/food).

I have been tested for diabetes and don't have it.

I am mid-20s, female.

Have you had your thyroid tested?

I wouldn't say it's that unusual to be very hungry 4-5 hours after a meal?

If you're slightly peckish an hour after a meal it could be that you need a glass of water. The body mixes the hungry/thirsty signals up often.

Over active thyroid mostly makes you lose weight & feel hungry even when eating a lot. It speeds up your metabolism. But it's unlikely you'd have just that as a symptom. Have a google & see if you have any other symptoms & maybe get a blood test.
