I love interesting trivia, favourites include

  1. It's illegal for women to eat chocolate on public transport! So there's an arrest warrant out for me then!
  2. If you put a stamp on an envelope upside down, it's seen as treason and punishable by death!
  3. Monmouthshire is still at war with Germany!

Anyone else got any interesting ones to share?

Not laws but I do have language trivia.
Mansplaining in French: mexpliquer (french for guy = mec + expliquer)
Mansplaining in German: herrklären (Herr + erklären)
I like these very much.
I also like the french for fake news - les infaux (infos/faux)

Homosexuality is caused by pregnant women having anal sex; this is a very recent gem from a bishop in Cyprus:

Love language quirks too!
That's an outrageous thing for a bishop to say, the ignorance if it, but it doesn't surprise me!
