Going on holiday with a cast on

Morning everyone. We have a holiday booked and my DD has broken her arm. It’s currently in a cast and we’re not sure when that will be taken off at the moment. Has anyone had any experience with going on holiday with a cast on? It’s quite a big cast and the holiday is supposed to be mainly about swimming in the pools there. Sad I’m looking at waterproof covers for her in case we still go but there is talk about us cancelling on the insurance as the nurses mentioned the doctor may say we can’t fly.

I'd tr to cancel to be honest. I'm assuming you're going somewhere hot, which would mean the cast will get sweaty, stinky and might need changing. Plus be uncomfortable for her (heat, swelling etc)
And then she can't fully take part in the activities.
Would there be somewhere accessible if it needs re-casting?
Costs?
