The programme? It aired one episode of the new series and then nothing followed. Been keeping an eye on iplayer and until today it was showing as having just the one episode- today, it can’t be found at all!
Did something happen? It’s a shit programme I admit but there isn’t much worth watching at all these days is there?

I don't know.

It's very hit and miss if an episode is showing, there's no regular slot.

I'm sure there was only about 3 episodes a few months ago before sport was aired in its place.

I hate when they do this I look for it every week. Shop Well For Less is just not the same! In fact it was absolute rubbish this week.

BarbaraofSeville · 09/08/2019 03:54

My guess is that it might reappear once they've finished with Shop Well for Less but yes, it's utterly bizarre how they mess about with the scheduling of this, stopping and starting at random.

hidinginthenightgarden · 09/08/2019 08:09

Shop well for less is bloody awful.
Like people don't know how to stop buying clothes?

Yes I noticed this too, episode 4 was listed but then never shown.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 09/08/2019 08:37

Think I watched shop well for less Was the latest one a couple where he had all designer gear and about 10 bottles of expensive aftershave etc ?

ainsisoisje · 09/08/2019 08:37

They are looking for more contestants so does seem like they will be making another series. Have got weirdly hooked on it. Confused

Anotherusefulname · 09/08/2019 08:53

Shop well for less is bizarre.
You have a big flash telly, you could save £££ by getting a less flashy one - no you couldn't you already have the big one.
I get them saying don't buy new designer/expensive stuff you don't need, I get them saying try cheaper brand make up/ hair products /perfume etc when yours runs out.
I don't get when they factor in buying cheaper large appliances - you aren't going to by a new fridge every year so saying this cheap one will save you £500 and counting that in their total savings at the end really irritates me. You already have a fridge replacing it with a cheaper one isn't saving any money. And the more expensive ones are still A+ energy rated so aren't more expensive to run.
My husband leaves the room when it comes on because it always gets me ranting.

BarbaraofSeville · 09/08/2019 09:20

It would be better if it was framed as 'if you'd bought the cheaper telly you'd have the TV plus £500' if you only bought the toiletries you needed, you'd have the toiletries plus £100, if you bought the cheaper brand, you'd have the same things plus £50 etc and then you'd already have the money to buy the thing you want but can't afford because you've already spent it on X, Y or Z that you don't need.

But I definitely think their blind brand comparisons are good because some people are so wedded to 'it has to be Heinz, Clinique, Nike' etc etc and 90% of the time, they can't pick out their must have brand or prefer the cheaper brand in blind testing, or are at least happy with the cheaper brand at lower cost.

hidinginthenightgarden · 09/08/2019 09:48

I do think the brand testing is good, but sometimes I am totally baffled by people apparent ignorance to their own belongings. Last week they asked her woman how many dresses she thought she had. She said about 8 - she actually had 52. No way she was that far out. It’s faked or she is stupid!

feelingverylazytoday · 09/08/2019 10:26

It's faked or she is stupid
It has to be faked, like most reality TV. It's a bit like Secret eaters. "Oops, I forgot I ate 2 quarter pounders with cheese and double fries, a meat pie between 2 slices of bread, 8 mars bars and a gallon of wine. Can't think why I'm a bit on the big side".

Lllot5 · 09/08/2019 10:30

I like eat well for less. Stopped me buying brands so much when people can’t tell the difference in a blind taste test must mean there’s not much difference.
Hugh fearnly whatisface did one with bottled water, most couldn’t tell the difference with tap water.
The shop one for less is daft just stop buying so much stuff.

BlueSkiesLies · 09/08/2019 10:47

Love eat well for less (or I did the earlier series anyway, now people seem more extreme and okay acting for the tv)

Shop well for less is terrible.
