Stage door and Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat

Hi,
I have tickets for a matinee performance of Joseph and His Technicolour Dreamcoat. I was just wondering whether anybody else has been and managed to get a photo with the stars at the stage door. Is it worth it? Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

I haven’t done it at Joseph, but having been on the other side of that stage door (not as a star lol I was in the background as a musician) I would say that a) you might be waiting quite a while for them to come out, especially after a matinee as they might just stay back stage between performances and b) although they will probably be lovely about it, after a show they will be absolutely knackered and probably wishing they could get some tea before the evening performance!

Not to say don’t do it though if you really want to 🙂

I presume you are asking about the Palladium? I am to,d that there is a “no selfies” rule, but a few friends have managed to get one.

The tour is currently on a break

Actually my kids perform in lots of professional productions (including the Joseph tour) and generally the stars are fantastic at stage door

If possible, you might be better off getting to the stage door early, before the matinee to see them arriving. There'll be fewer other people there, so more chance of a chat/photo.

Can't remember what time the matinee of Joseph starts, but I'd say get there 90 minutes to two hours before that time. They have to be inside half an hour before the performance starts.

Thanks all. Yes at the palladium. Show starts at 13.00 on the day we are going.

A "no selfies" rule? How churlish!

We went recently to a 2.30 show and Jason Donovan was at the stage door at about 1.10pm chatting to people - don't know how long he was there for. There were only a handful of people there, but it was midweek and just about to pour with rain. Didn't see Sheridan Smith or anyone else.

Looks on the families who love theatre group - lots of experiences on there.
