Anyone know the best way to sell gold?

I don’t know where to start. A pawn brokers offered me around £450. They were impressed by the size and weight of them and expressed how sought after the item is but I have heard that this isn’t the best place to go to get the most of money though. It’s an item of jewellery particular popular with a certain community (confirmed by pawn brokers) but I don’t know where to start!

Look at cookson gold website, it has a daily price per gram for trade and non trade customers. If you are near london or Birminghsm they have bullion dealers there.

Is it a sovereign? I have a few to sell along with some 22/24 k jewellery and bouillon bars.

Hatton Garden Metals is the Moneysavingexpert recommendation, but also worth considering whether it's worth asking specialists within the relevant community in case it's worth more as a piece of jewellry, rather than just it's scrap gold price?
