Site like Mumsnet in USA? Or for expats perhaps?

I wondered if there are any US forums along the lines of Mumsnet? Or any good ones for expats settling into American life?

MN is such a fantastic source of knowledge of all kinds, I'd love to find a site that was similarly useful for things related to settling into life here in general, or even specific recommendations for my new city etc!

Any ideas?

American BabyCentre or if you're especially brave, the bump...that one is absolutely brutal though

I used to be on a site called mothering.com they had a forum called talk amoungst ourselves or something, that was quite lively, but it's a crunchy Mum site.
Also one called Diaperswappers that seems to have dissaperaed. and so has brestfeeding.com they both had a more vocal vibe.
Babycenter is probably still around, but it's huge and moves very fast.

Also have a look at www.britishexpats.com they have brits all over the world and a sub section for each country.
