How would it work?

I doubt it - at least, not witness protection as I understand it.

They’d never be able to go out unless they drastically altered their appearance?

ErrolTheDragon · 06/08/2019 11:00

Is this a serious question?

If not... relocate to some arse end of nowhere seaside resort and be an uncannily good 'lookalike'?

glitterbiscuits · 06/08/2019 11:01

I could make a list of who could I hide in my house.
Josh Holloway could hide in under my bed anytime.

ShatnersWig · 06/08/2019 11:01

Of course. When was the last time you saw Elvis, Lord Lucan and Diana Princess of Wales?

MancaroniCheese · 06/08/2019 11:02

Presumably if they are mega rich they would have their own security team anyway to protect them so probably wouldn't need WP

Passthecherrycoke · 06/08/2019 11:03

Depends how famous I guess. I don’t see why not surely they’d be the ones that could afford full plastic surgery and wouldn’t need to get a job?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 06/08/2019 11:12

Of course

Change of hair colour and style, dress differently, maybe plastic surgery if they have distinguished feature, beard/tash for a man

If it’s Jason Mamoa I am willingly to support him through this will take time though Grin

FaithHowellsYellowCoat · 06/08/2019 11:25

Would you still fancy him though Enthusiasm if he no longer looked like Jason Momoa?

Well I think the transformation may take some time we can’t shave his beard off and cut his hair the moment he goes into hiding it would probably psychologically damaging

Once the transformation has taken place probably not

FaithHowellsYellowCoat · 06/08/2019 14:19

Ok Enthusiasm you can house him in a secure location for 6-12 months, then he’s off to Skegness.

Well if that’s what it takes to keep him safe then I shall make that sacrifice Halo

BoneyBackJefferson · 06/08/2019 19:28

I suspect that are very few people that wouldn't be able to go in to witness protection.

But given what is classed as a celebrity these days, I suspect most would be very happy to use it to stay in the limelight.

I am sure it must have happened during the Troubles in Ulster.
