DDs are not little 18 and 14 but we are out shopping and I'm falling over them all the time Confused If I need to turn the trolley around or take a step back I'm standing on them. Now I know they love me but it's so frustrating

Me this year Smile
DD (10) holds my hand/arm every time we walk anywhere, more than a couple of years ago, when I sit in a chair she sits on the arm/me, on the sofa drapes a leg over me. The best is at the dining table where she finds my foot with hers so she can put her toes on it. If I go into the kitchen, turn around and she's right there.

Kind of enjoying it, despite it being all the time, I know it won't last - or maybe it will, based on your DC.

I have one like this. It gets overwhelming. The love is nice - and it is reciprocated! - but at times I feel hijacked.

My 37 year old still links my arm when we're out together. The 33 year old used to hold my hand until my grandson arrived.

I know what you mean about being hijacked, it feels a bit suffocating sometimes

I was writing a letter at the table today and they both sat at the table keeping me company Smile

It's not the same, janj2301. I've always walked arm-in-arm with my mum, and I'm in my 50s. But I'm not there every time she turns around, in her personal space.

I wonder, OP, whether there's not some element of competition going on there, too. I swear that my Klingon and one of their siblings have hyper-sensitive cuddle-radar! No matter which I'm cuddling, the other will turn up and want a cuddle, too.

Mine are 12 and 16.

Sometimes I want to get one of those little ticket machines they have in hospitals so they can queue up and take a number. They all, dh included, want to talk to me at once. There is always someone touching me. My hugs have some sort of special properties.

Younger me wanted to be more popular. Hah!

zackly · 05/08/2019 22:29

Haaaa yes, and I have two cats as well who always like to be close by (I'm the one who feeds them).

Newearringsplease · 05/08/2019 23:47

When my children were much younger we'd all go out together and everyone would be talking to me at once, my head would be in a whirl
